Few vocalists can inject lyrics dealing with heartache with the emotion of Gladys Knight. "It's Bad For Me To See You" was written by Gloria Jones and Pamela Sawyer. Knight and The Pips recorded the outtake in 1971. It remained in the Motown vaults until 1995, when the ballad was included on 'The Gladys Knight & The Pips Anthology Series' CD.
Knight sings about how seeing her ex leaves her wrecked. As she struggles to move on, she is reminded that she is far from over him.
