Each country had 2 jurors (1 had to be under 25 years of age) which then awarded between 1-5 points to each song. This resulted in inconsistent scoring, as some juries tended to give low points to some countries. The winning entry was performed in French and its title means: “A bench, a tree, a street”. This polished song today is not among Eurovision’s most memorable.
