THE LOST SINGLES
SHOULD-A BEEN HITS

COMFORTABLY NUMB
Pink Floyd
1979
"Comfortably Numb" is one of the most beautiful and powerful tracks in the Pink Floyd canon. Along with "Another One Bites The Dust (Part 2)", it is one of the best known songs on the band's 'The Wall'. The fact that the disc was released as a single but failed to make the chart, despite the other track reaching #1 in America is baffling. It took a remake by The Scissor Sisters in 2004 to finally take the song into the British Top 10.
An image of a plain white brick wall.
This regular segment looks back on recordings that deserved to become popular singles but failed to attract attention and sales. Check out the special Caffé Latté playlist on spotify to finally discover these releases.
