Trivia: In 1967, "The Tears Of A Clown" was included on the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles album 'Make It Happen'. Three years later, the track was issued as a single. After it topped the UK chart, Motown released the disc in America, where it topped both the Pop and Soul charts. This was a final hit prior to the departure of Robinson. The Miracles persevered without its gifted lead vocalist.
