THE RECORD HOLDERS
Ireland still holds the record for the
most wins at Eurovision. The country has emerged victorious 7 times. Its most
recent win was in 1996.
The entry that attracted the highest
score ever is the winning Portuguese entry from 2017. “Amar Pelos Dois” collected
a record-breaking 758 points. This is a tremendous achievement given that
Portugal had never finished in the Top 5 before that year and the winning song
was not sung in English.
