The Jackson 5 scored 4 consecutive #1 singles on the US Hot 100 with their first Motown releases, beginning with "I Want You Back" in 1970. By 1974, the momentum was slowing down. "Dancing Machine" was the group's first Soul Chart #1 and Top 10 Pop hit since 1971. It would also be the brothers' final major achievement on the label. The Jackson 5 would soon switch over to Epic / CBS where the brothers and lead singer Michael Jackson in particular would find even greater success.
