MAMA’S PEARL

The Jackson 5

Originally entitled “Guess Who’s Making Whoopee (With Your Girlfriend)”, the song’s name was switched to “Mama’s Pearl” to suit Michael’s young age. It was created by The Corporation and included on the group’s ‘Third Album’. The single peaked at #2 in the U.S., blocked out of the top position by The Osmonds’ “One Bad Apple”, a song first offered to the Jackson boys but rejected by Motown honcho Berry Gordy Jr.
