CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#925-921 20 -a -day special fast track...

#925 STAY YOUNG Inxs
On 'Underneath the Colours', INXS reveal a marked evolution in their songwriting and delivery. Their second album yielded one of their best early singles: "Stay Young". Band members Andrew Farris & Michael Hutchence co-wrote this, the only single lifted from the LP to chart. Australian rock veteran Richard Clapton handled production.

#924 DAWN (GO AWAY) The 4 Seasons
American groups such as The 4 Seasons struggled to reclaim the top ranks of the US charts in competition with British recording acts. In 1964, when the vocal group released "Dawn (Go Away)" as a single, the British Invasion had begun in the wake of Beatlemania. One of the few groups that did manage to crack through was The 4 Seasons. "Dawn" peaked at #3. It was written by group member Bob Gaudio with Sandy Linzer. Ranked just above the hit single on the Pop chart were the Top 2 songs: both by The Beatles.

#923 BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGLE New Order
New Order formed in 1980 from the ashes of Joy Division. They were soon one of the most successful dance/ electronic acts, particularly with "Blue Monday". In 1986, the group released the title track from their 'Bizarre Love Triangle' album. The members of the group were all credited with composing and producing the song.

#922 25 OR 6 TO 4 Chicago
Chicago's keyboardist/ singer Robert Lamm penned the group's first Top 5 US chart hit, "25 or 6 to 4". It was from the band's 'Chicago II' LP. The 1970 track makes much use of Chicago's brass section. Trumpet, woodwinds and trombone combine to inject the verses with a fuller depth.

#921 I DON'T WANNA GO ON WITH YOU LIKE THAT Elton John
At the time of his 'Reg Strikes Back' LP, Elton John was making a comeback of sorts. As the title suggested, he was back signed with his old label, MCA; and writing once again with Bernie Taupin. The album cover displays several items the musician had hoarded over the years that he was discarding. His major hit from this album was "I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That". Written with Taupin and produced by Chris Thomas, the single proved to be particularly well received in America where it peaked at #2.
