British entry in 2000 was an upbeat and contemporary- sounding blast of Brit
pop. Nicki French had achieved international chart success with her dance cover
of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”. At Eurovision, she finished 16th
out of a pack of 28 with “Don’t Play That Song Again”.
