SHE LOVES YOU
"She Loves You" was written by John and Paul in a hotel room in 1963. George suggested the jazz chord used at the song's end. While 2 US labels initially declined to release the song, after the success of "I Want To Hold Your Hand", Beatlemania had gained enough momentum to take the 45 to #1 in both Britain and America. In the UK, the disc broke several records and was the decade's best selling single. The song etched itself into our memories with the enthusiastic "yeah yeah yeahs".
WHAT IS LIFE
George Harrison
Opening with one of Harrison's best riffs, "What Is Love" is the former Beatle's best pop moment. It is a love song infused with enough happiness and energy to make it irresistible. It has a Dylanesque feel to it, while showcasing Harrison's skill as a guitarist. The track was included on the 1970 album 'All Things Must Pass'. Issued as a single the following year, it reached the Top 10 in the USA.
