The last year of the 1960s saw Neil Armstrong walk on the moon, Richard Nixon’s Presidency began and the Woodstock Music Festival attracted an audience that exceeded 350,000. Demonstrators protested against the Vietnam War. The Beatles released ‘Abbey Road’ and performed live for the last time on the roof of Apple Corps.
