THE 2023 EUROVISION SONGS RANKED IN ORDER. This post: #20-16.

Continues next weekend.

EUROVISION 2023

THE 37 SONGS

(in order of preference)

The number of competitors for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has decreased to 37 with the absence of Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro. This year, the ESC will be held in host city Liverpool, England in May. Caffè Lattè has ranked all of the entries in terms of sonic quality, as it does annually. The higher the ranking, the better the song.

*Note that a live performance and the on-stage presentation may alter the overall impact of a song.

#20

DANCE (OUR OWN PARTY)

The official cover for "Dance (Our Own Party)"The Busker

Malta

Malta is still chasing its first ESC victory. The country has been represented by some strong entries, but this year’s is not among its best. It does, however, evoke memories of Sunstroke Project. The song will be performed in English and compete in Semi-Final 1 which is a tough field. With the right energy and stage presentation, Malta could progress to the Grand Final.

#19

BRIDGES

The official cover for "Bridges"Alika

Estonia

Estonia has previously won the Contest. Generally, it has offered some interesting songs. “Bridges” is well-structured, but no classic entry. If Alika can deliver a strong performance during Semi-Final 2, she should be representing Estonia in the Grand Final.

#18

SAMO MI SE SPAVA

The official cover for "Samo mi se spava"Luke Black

Serbia

This is one of the best songs to represent Serbia. Luke Black wrote the entry. He is one of the biggest artists in Serbia. Its title means “I just wanbt to sleep”. His good looks, modern mix of indie pop and the fact he will be singing in Serbian and English, should give his song a strong chance to qualify from the first Semi-Final. It deserves to finish high on the leaderboard during the Grand Final.

#17

BREAKING MY HEART

The official cover for "Breaking My Heart"Reiley

Denmark

Reiley will compete first in Semi-Final 2. Born on the Faroe Islands, he is a successful pop artist that has a strong social media following. This should bolster his chances. The song is catchy and should make it into the Grand Final, but is unlikely to finish among the high scorers unless he pulls out something amazing during his performance.

BECAUSE OF YOU

The official cover for "Because of You"Gustaph

Belgium

Every Eurovision brings us a new anthem celebrating diversity. In 2023, that role is filled by the Belgian entry. Gustaph has some ESC past experience as background singer in 2018 and 2021. He is an acclaimed artist in Belgium. “Because Of You” will compete during Semi-Final 2. Depending on how it is staged, the song might just gain a spot in the Grand Final.
