SHAKE IT OFF

In 2014, Taylor Swift moved into a new stratosphere. She completed her transition from country to pop artist with the single “Shake It Off”. This represented the moment when Swift established herself as a major contender in the pop arena.

“Shake It Off” was her most commercial-sounding release to date. The song reunited her with Swedish hit-makers Max Martin and Shellback. The three wrote the hit, with the latter two also co-producing. It served as the lead single from Swift’s next studio album: ‘1989’, which was issued in late October.

The single became her second to make the top of the US chart. It also reached #1 in Canada, Australia, parts of Europe and in New Zealand. On the UK chart, the song peaked at #2.
