Trivia:

The Archies was a comic series that became a television cartoon show. After success with The Monkees, Don Kirshner had the idea of having the fictitious perennial teenagers perform music. "Sugar Sugar" was written by producer Jeff Barry with Andy Kim. The latter would score a solo #1 with "Rock Me Gently". Lead vocals on the hit single were performed by Ron Dante. He would go on to produce many of Barry Manilow's albums.
