TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#829 DOWN IN THE SEINE The Style Council
The Style Council comprised primarily Paul Weller and Mick Talbot. Underneath the jazz and Motown-inspired structure of the duo's music, were songs with stinging commentary on British politics and global concerns.
Along with lyrics in English, there are verses in French to add to the flavour of "Down in the Seine", a track from the duo's 1985 album 'Our Favourite Shop'. Lead singer Weller composed the song. He produced the cut with Peter Wilson.
