Luther Vandross composed "Dance With My Father" with Richard Marx. The poignant song refers to the former's parent. It was released as a single in 2003 and went on to collect 2 Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year.
The lyrics recall Vandross' memories of the loving father he lost at a young age. Sadly, the R&B vocalist himself passed away 2 years later.
