One of the singles lifted off the 1992 'Love Symbol' album, "7" reached #7 (of course!) on the US chart. It contains a sample of "Tramp" (written by Lowell Fulson and Jimmy McCracklin), issued in 1967 by the former.

Initially entitled "Pussy Control", the track was renamed "P Control" in time for the general release of Prince's 'The Gold Experience' album in 1995. Limited quantities were issued as a promotional single prior to the album arriving in record stores.

This year, Prince would have turned 60 years of age. Caffé Latté marks the occasion with a countdown of the prolific artist’s 60 best recordings, one for every year since his birth in Minneapolis on June 7, 1958.

Prince performed all vocals and instruments on "I Feel For You", a track from his second album. The eponymous LP was released in 1979. In 1982, it was covered by The Pointer Sisters for the trio's 'So Excited' album. The song became a major hit 2 years later via a remake by Chaka Khan.
