"New York, New York" soon joined the list of signature songs associated with Frank Sinatra. He included his legendary version for the 1980 album 'Trilogy: Past Present Future'. His version was a Top 10 hit in both the UK and in America.
The original was recorded by Liza Minnelli. John Kander and Fred Ebb created the song for the Martin Scorsese film 'New York, New York'. The film starred Robert De Niro and Minnelli. She performed the song during the 1977 motion picture.
