Today: #24. More: tomorrow

EUROVISION 2021

THE 39 SONGS

(in order of preference)

The number of competitors for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has decreased to 39 with the withdrawal of Armenia and Belarus being disqualified. After being cancelled last year, the 2021 ESC will go ahead in Rotterdam in May. Caffè Lattè has ranked all of the entries in terms of sonic quality, as it does annually. The higher the ranking, the better the song.

*Note that a live performance and the on-stage presentation may alter the overall impact of a song.

39- PORTUGAL; 38- SLOVENIA; 37- LATVIA; 36 – RUSSIA; 35- UKRAINE; 34- ROMANIA;

33- ESTONIA; 32- GEORGIA; 31- SERBIA; 30- ALBANIA

29- THE NETHERLANDS; 28- GERMANY; 27- CZECH REPUBLIC; 26- CROATIA;

25- MOLDOVA

MAPS

 Lesley Roy

                                                         Ireland

The official cover for "Maps"

Eurovision’s most successful country remains Ireland, leading the pack with 7 wins. Lesley Roy, another of the 2020 participants, is back with a catchy song entitled “Maps”. It will be performed early during Semi-Final 1, which may hinder its chances. The field that night is more competitive and “Maps” may end up overlooked. Sadly, had it been allocated a spot in the second Semi-Final, it would have had a strong chance of qualifying. Either way, Ireland won’t be breaking its own record for most wins this year.
