#1322 RADIO GAGA Queen
Queen's drummer Roger Taylor penned this ode to the wireless from 'The Works' album. "Radio Ga Ga" was issued in 1984, accompanied by a creative music video featuring footage from Fritz Lang's classic 'Metropolis'.

#1323 THERE GOES MY BABY The Drifters
The Leiber & Stoller production of "There Goes My Baby" lifted the bar for all the soul recordings that followed. The 1959 hit song was co-written by the vocal group's new lead singer Ben E. King (credited as Benjamin Nelson here) with Lover Patterson and George Treadwell.

#1324 MACHO MAN Village People
Disco pop outfit The Village People scored success with this tribute to brawn and fitness in 1978. "Macho Man" was written by their creators Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo with lead singer Victor Willis and songwriter Peter Whitehead.

#1325 JE T'ADORE Kate Ryan
Belgian dance artist Kate Ryan represented her country with the upbeat "Je T' Adore" in 2006 at the Eurovision Song Contest; a song she co-wrote with Niclas Kings, Niklas Bergwall and Lisa Greene.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
5 new songs are added every day from #1201-1500
