CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1795 TETRIS Dr Spin
Anyone familiar with the Eurodance 1992 hit "Tetris", based on the tune used for the video game, would be surprised to find that musical theatre's Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Nigel Wright were involved in its creation. The tune is based on the Russian folk song "Korobeiniki".

#1796 IT AIN'T WHAT YOU DO (IT'S THE WAY THAT YOU DO IT) Fun Boy Three & Bananarama
British groups Fun Boy Three and Bananarama combined to score a #4 UK hit with a remake of a jazz song 1st recorded in 1939. It was written by Sy Oliver and Trummy Young. Included on Fun Boy Three's 1981 debut album, the song was given a ska-flavoured make-over.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the remaining Top 100 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
