1971

MONACO

Monaco joined the Eurovision family in 1959. Its only win thus far was with the French song “Un banc, un arbre, une rue”. Severine performed the entry. After the 1979 Contest, Monaco began a 25-year absence which ended in 2004. This return was short-lived.

For 3 years, Monaco failed to qualify for the Grand Final. It competed for the last time in 2006. There is speculation that Monaco may return to Eurovision in the near future.
