Forming in 1988 in Scotland, The Chimes will be best remembered for their soulful interpretation of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". The original version was recorded by U2 and charted in 1987. As is usual for the Irish rock group, all 4 members are credited as songwriters. The Chimes' remake was released 3 years later. The members produced their smooth cover. It was included on their self-titled debut album. Lead singer Pauline Henry quit soon after this was a hit and launched a solo career. Remaining members James Locke and Michael Peden continued- as producers.
