SUPERMAN: BARBRA STREISAND
Streisand Superman.jpg
 [1977]
Barbra Streisand was a major box office draw and 1 of the best selling performers on disc at the time of the release of 'Superman'. Her albums were contemporary and reflected the time. Sources here include songwriters Rupert Holmes, Kim Carnes and Billy Joel; all 3 would achieve success in their own right over the next few years. The album also finds Streisand tackling disco; although these early attempts aren't as well executed as her 1979 efforts "The Main Event" and "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)". Highlight tracks: Lullaby For Myself; Superman & My Heart Belongs To Me.
