#1983 SONG INSTEAD OF A KISS Alannah Myles
Alannah Myles is best remembered for her #1 "Black Velvet". "Song Instead Of A Kiss" is a tender ballad well suited to her vocal ability. The single was lifted off her 1992 album 'Rockinghorse'. Myles co-wrote it with Nancy Simmonds and Robert Priest.

#1984 LOVE HURTS Jim Capaldi
The Boudleaux Bryant song "Love Hurts" was 1st a hit for The Everly Brothers in 1960. Jim Capaldi covered the song in 1975, scoring a Top 10 hit in the process. He had been a founding member of the group Traffic with Steve Winwood before launching his solo career.
