THE 41 SONGS

(ranked in order of preference)

The Eurovision Song Contest begins in Tel Aviv on May 14. Two semi-finals will see 35 songs reduced to 20 and join last year’s winning nation Israel alongside the pre-qualified ‘Big 5’ countries (France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom & Germany) in the Grand Final 4 days later.

The songs are ranked in order of song quality, starting with the weakest of the 41 entries. Preferences may change once they are performed live during the Semi-Finals.

30 HUNGARY

PAPAI JOCI

Performed in Hungarian, this song will be competing in Semi-Final 1. Its title translates as: “My father”. Papai Joci is back representing Hungary. He finished in 8^th place in 2017 with “Origo”. “Az En Apam” is unlikely to do better as it is not as strong as its predecessor. It should, however, progress to the Grand Final.
