ESC HISTORY & STATISTICS: CONSECUTIVE WINS.
EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2019
THE HISTORY & STATISTICS
 Dublin 1995
Only a handful of countries have managed to accomplish back-to-back wins at Eurovision. The first to do so was Spain in 1968 and 1969 (albeit as part of the 4-way tie). Luxembourg repeated that achievement, but did so winning outright in 1972 and 1973. Next was Israel, with victories in 1978 and 1979.

Linda Martin - Why Me.jpgPaul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan - Rock 'n' Roll Kids.jpgThus far, only one country has succeeded in winning in 3 consecutive years: Ireland, in 1992, 1993 and 1994. That amazing streak was interrupted by Norway’s “Nocturne” in 1995. The following year, Ireland triumphed again, scoring its fourth win in 5 years!
