THE SIGN Ace Of Base

Released in 1993, “The Sign” proved that Ace Of Base’s success with “All That She Wants” was no fluke. In many ways, this proved to be an even bigger hit, topping charts in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

MAMMA MIA ABBA

When initially released as a single, “Mamma Mia” flopped.By chance, a music show in Australia named “Countdown” saw potential in the song and played it. The Australian public loved it. There, the disc spent 10 weeks at #1. Its success piqued the interest of UK label Epic Records. Re-issued, the single finally became a major smash: ABBA’s first since “Waterloo” in 1974. Thanks to “Mamma Mia”, ABBA’s chart fortunes improved and the group’s global domination began.
