John Legend was born John Stephens in 1978 in Springfield, USA. The child prodigy has evolved into one of the leading contemporary R&B performers. Over the years, he has consistently delivered high quality songs which include "Ordinary People", "Let's Get Lifted", "If You're Out There" and "Greenlight". In 2013, he issued a new album entitled 'Love in the Future' which featured his sensitive ballad "All of Me', an Australian Pop chart #1. 
The song "This Time" was co-written by Legend with Dave Tozer and Kawan "KP" Prather. The protagonist has realized that the woman he gave up is what he wants. He has matured and needs a second chance with his ex. Legend's vocals, as usual, sound genuine and convincing. He also plays piano on the recording. Co-writer Tozer contributes some keyboards and guitar as well as co-producing the track with the renowned Trevor Horn. The beautiful song was included on 2008's 'Evolver'. It was the 4th track lifted as a single from the album.
