CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#740 SUMMER SON
Texas hail from Glasgow, Scotland and formed in 1986. Over the years, the group's sound has evolved. Initially, their songs leaned more towards alternative / indie styles. Their biggest worldwide success was "I Don't Want A Lover" in 1989.
"Summer Son" was penned by group members John McElhone, Sharleen Spiteri and Eddie Campbell with Robert Hodgens. It was released in 1999, lifted off the band's 'The Hush' album. The song featured a more dancey approach from Texas. In Britain, the song reached #5.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love or re-discover some past favourites.
A new song is added twice daily with a mid-week bonus of 10 songs every Wednesday.
