CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#412 ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL Ace of Base
After breaking through with "All That She Wants" in 1992, Ace of Base enjoyed chart hits aplenty; including "Happy Nation", "The Sign", "Don't Turn Around" and "Beautiful Life". "Always Have, Always Will" was composed by group member Jonas "Joker" Berggren with Mike Chapman. The track was produced by Ole Evenrude for the group's 1998 album 'Flowers'.
The track began life with the title "Killer on the Rampage" and its lyrics dealt with how journalists harm innocent people. As the rest of the album had an upbeat positive feel, the track did not fit in alongside the others. Chapman was called in and came up with new lyrics.
The song reminds listeners of the pop sound of the 1960s, particularly Motown. Its intro is reminiscent of The Supremes' "Where Did Our Love Go". As the beat kicks in, it evokes the Billy Ocean disco hit "Love Really Hurts Without You". "Always Have..." peaked at #12 in the UK.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
