CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#449 LOVE REARS ITS UGLY HEAD Living Colour
Living Colour cleverly mix punk, jazz, R&B and metal. The group formed in 1984 in New York. They broke through with the single "Cult of Personality" in 1988. Their 'Time's Up' album was issued 2 years later. The 2nd single lifted off the LP was "Love Rears Its Ugly Head". Group member Vernon Reid penned the song. Ed Stasium produced the recording. A remix of the album version was released in 1990.
"Love Rears..." became Living Colour's 1st UK chart hit, peaking at #12. The single made the Top 10 in Australia in 1991. Other chart appearances followed, but the group split in 1995. All of the members continued in music as part of other projects until the band re-united in 2001. The group's most recent release was the album 'The Chair in the Doorway' in 2009.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
