You're Not Alone Joe and Jake.jpgUnited Kingdom missed the 1st Eurovision year but has been a stalwart since its debut in 1957. It still holds the record for finishing 2nd the most times- 15 no less! This is all the more impressive when seen in the context of 5 wins. As a member of 'The Big 5', the UK is also automatically slated for the Grand Final.
Its most recent victory was in 1997 when Katrina & The Waves entered with "Love Shine A Light". In 2016, the UK was represented by 1 of its strongest entries in years, the catchy "You're Not Alone" by Joe & Jake. While it did not finish high, it augured well for a renewed effort to select a song worthy of consideration.
