ABBA's victory in 1974 brought Eurovision to host city Stockholm the following year. That contest saw the implementation of a voting process that continues to this day. Each country's jury would award points to the 10 songs it judged the best. Juries allocated 12 points to its top choice; 10 points to the 2nd best; 8 for the 3rd most preferred; 7 for its 4th choice and so on.
Dutch entry "Ding-A-Dong", emulating the sound of "Waterloo", took the top prize. This was the 4th win for The Netherlands. It has yet to win again.
