Ron Sexsmith recorded the original version of "Fallen" for his 2001 album 'Blue Boy'. The Canadian singer/ songwriter penned the heartfelt ballad himself. K. D. Lang covered the song on her 'Hymns of the 49th Parallel' album which was a tribute to her compatriots. She is respectful to the original, gently articulating every lyric. Her vocal accentuates the purity of Sexsmith's song but nails the definitive version.Lang co-produced the track with regular collaborator Ben Mink.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.
