#1211 I'VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN Frank Sinatra & Bono
The Cole Porter standard is revisited by Frank Sinatra, this time with U2's frontman Bono, as recorded for The Chairman of the Board's 1993 'Duets' album. Phil Ramone oversaw production using an arrangement from the legendary Nelson Riddle.

#1212 BANG-A-BOOMERANG Abba
Recorded in 1975 for ABBA's self-titled hit album, "Bang-a-Boomerang" was written by Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Stig Anderson. The former 2 also produced the cut.

#1213 GLI UOMINI NON CAMBIANO Mia Martini
This was the highly emotive entry in 1992's San Remo song festival. Italian veteran Mia Martini performed "Gli Uomini Non Cambiano" with stinging lyrics, but a reassuring twist at the end, in her native Italian. The title translates as: "Men Don't Change". Its producer Giancarlo Bigazzi co-wrote the song with Marco Falagiani and Giuseppe Dati.

#1214 NEW YORK STATE OF MIND Barbra Streisand
The Billy Joel composition is covered by Barbra Streisand for her 1978 album 'Songbird'. Gary Klein produced.

#1215 YOU'RE MY NUMBER ONE S Club 7
The cheesy pop band delivers 1 of its chirpiest songs with "You're My Number One". The DuffleBag Boys are credited as writers of this late 1999 hit.

The site has gained such a marked increase in hits ever since the Top 1200 started, the list has been expanded. It is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
5 new songs are added every weekday
