#1261 HURT Christina Aguilera
"Hurt" is 1 song that reduces the hardest hearts to mush, written by Christina Aguilera, Linda Perry and Mark Ronson for the former's '2006 Back to Basics' album. Perry, who produced the track, is heard on piano.

#1262 RUNAWAY The Salsoul Orchestra featuring Loleatta Holloway
Ronnie James and Vince Montana wrote this pivotal dance track from the Salsoul label in 1977. Its sound is a defining blueprint for the new directions in dance after the Philly sound and disco.

#1263 THE LOVE I LOST (Part 1) Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes
The R&B hit "The Love I Lost" was another gem written by Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff, owners of the Philadelphia International record label. Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes charted with the classic in 1973.

#1264 GETHSEMANE Michael Crawford
Michael Crawford recorded an album of showstoppers from Andrew Lloyd Webber's songbook in 1991. "Gethsemane" was co-written by the composer with lyricist Tim Rice for their stage musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". It finds Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane dealing with his impending crucifixion.  Crawford recorded the definitive version here.

#1265 MY GIRL The Temptations
Smokey Robinson co-wrote this classic from Motown with Ronald White, both members of The Miracles at the time. This 1964 Temptations hit features David Ruffin on lead vocals.
