CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1500 CHOICE TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1281 DANCING IN THE STREET Martha & The Vandellas
In 1964, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas dropped 1 of the iconic Motown classics: "Dancing in the Street". Written by Marvin Gaye, Ivy Jo Hunter and William "Mickey"  Stevenson, the disc reached #2 in the USA and 4 in Britain.

#1282 THE BELLS OF FREEDOM BWO
BWO is the Swedish group Bodies Without Organs which featured Alexander Bard (ex- Army of Lovers). "The Bells of Freedom" was issued in 2008 and peaked at #15 in Sweden. The Europop song was co-written by Bard with co-producer Anders Hansson and lead singer Martin Rolinski.

#1283 HAPPENIN' ALL OVER AGAIN Lonnie Gordon
"Happenin' All Over Again" was a dance club hit in 1990 that emerged from the hit factory of Matt Aitken, Mike Stock and Pete Waterman.

#1284 RASPUTIN Boney M
A disco song dealing with the mad monk Rasputin of Russian history seems a bad idea on paper, but the German group Boney M reached #1 in parts of Europe and Australia with this single in 1978. It peaked at #2 in the UK. The hit was written by Frank Farian, Fred Jay and George Reyam.

#1285 SILLY LOVE SONGS Paul McCartney & Wings
Paul McCartney addresses his critics with "Silly Love Songs". The musicianship and harmonies lift this from the cheesy mess it could have become in lesser hands. It was a US #1 in 1976 written and produced by McCartney, from the group's 'Wings at the Speed of Sound' album.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
5 new songs are added every day from #1201-1500
