TIM McGRAW

On December 13, 1989 Taylor Swift was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. She showed interest in music from a young age and learned to play the guitar as well as songwriting. Her family relocated to Nashville where she soon came to the attention of various key individuals in this early stage of her career.

In 2005, she signed with Big Machine and her debut single “Tim McGraw” was released. The song’s title refers to country music artist Tim McGraw. Swift co-wrote it with Liz Rose. The song made the Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Chart. Primarily still marketed as a country performer, Swift dented the lower rungs of the Pop Top 40 too.
