RECORD OF THE YEAR 1991

WINNER:

LITTLE RICHARD

Like Chuck Berry, Little Richard helped shape the energy and sound of  rock ‘n’ roll. He influenced acts as important as Prince, Elton John, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Bruno Mars, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. Among his key songs are: "Tutti Frutti", "Lucille", "Good Golly Miss Molly", "Long Tall Sally" and "The Girl Can't Help It". Despite the lasting impact of his catalogue, he never received a Grammy Award!
