ABBATHE 40 MOST IMPORTANT SONGS

14 I DO, I DO, I DO, I DO, I DO

Writers: Benny Andersson / Bjorn Ulvaeus / Stig Anderson

"I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" is one of ABBA's cheesiest songs that encapsulates what made the upbeat energy in their mid-70s output absolutely irresistible. The saxophone works a treat on this single lifted off the 1975 'ABBA' album, as do the gorgeous harmonies. This became the group's first #1 in Australia, followed by "Mamma Mia", which was in turn replaced by "S.O.S.". Their immense success on the Australian chart convinced other markets that ABBA had huge potential and turned the tide for the band.
