CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1500 CHOICE TRACKS

#205 GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE Earth, Wind & Fire
The Beatles' 'Revolver' album featured the funk-influenced track "Got To Get You Into My Life", credited to both John Lennon and Paul McCartney but actually penned by the latter. That LP was issued in 1966. Earth, Wind and Fire covered the song in the 1978 film 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
The movie starred Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees. Various performers and actors recorded remakes of songs by The Beatles for the film project. While the movie was poorly received, Earth, Wind and Fire enjoyed success with their remake. Pivotal member Maurice White was a fan of the Fab Four. His group transformed the original into a fresh fusion of funk and disco. The song reached #1 R&B in the US. On the Pop chart there, it made #9.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
A new song is added each day.
