"Da Doo Ron Ron" was written by the couple Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich with the single's producer Phil Spector. The song's title was used as dummy lyrics that the former 2 intended to change later. Spector liked the nonsensical lyrics and decided that they should remain.
