Few would have predicted that folk singer / songwriter Janis Ian would collaborate with disco / electronic producer Giorgio Moroder, but the result was a memorable hit song. "Fly too High" was written by Ian with Moroder, who had previously been closely associated with Donna Summer's 70s dance hits. Ian's song was recorded for the film 'Foxes'. Moroder also produced the track which was included on the singer's 'Night Rains' album, issued in 1979. While it failed to dent the UK or US charts, it was a Top 10 hit in Australia.
