The first country to positively receive a Blondie single was Australia. Before the major worldwide hits that began with "Denis", the group peaked at #2 there in 1976. Lead singer Debbie Harry co-wrote the tender ballad with bandmate Chris Stein. Richard Gottehrer produced the cut from the UK band's eponymously titled debut album. Harry evokes Marilyn Monroe for this, her sexiest performance in the group's catalogue of hits.
