#873 TWO CABS TO THE TOUCAN The Models
The Models formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1978 and ushered in a local brand of punk/ new wave. Sean Kelly was the lead singer and, a year later, keyboardist Andrew Duffield joined the line-up. These 2 members penned "Two Cabs to the Toucan", a track featured on the group's 'Cut Lunch' EP issued in 1981. By now, the band had signed with Mushroom Records. The disc was their first to chart in Australia, reaching #38. After the band dissolved in 1987, Kelly and Duffield formed 2 other groups: Absent Friends and The Dukes.
