Formed in Detroit, Martha & The Vandellas soon became the foremost girl group at Motown. In the legendary label's early years, the vocal trio placed a strong succession of hits on the charts, including: "Dancing In The Street", "(Your Love Is Like A) Heatwave", "Jimmy Mack" and "Nowhere To Run". Fun still oozes out of each record's grooves. With Martha Reeves out front, the girl group continued until the early 70s. By then, The Supremes had long overtaken the Vandellas as the darlings of Motown Records.
